Frequently Asked Questions

Last updated: September 2026

These are the questions our sales engineers answer most often — from first-time importers and project buyers alike. If your question is not here, send it through the inquiry form and we reply within 24 hours.

What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?

MOQ is container-based: typically one 20'GP for kitchen cabinets and wardrobes (mixed designs allowed), 50 pieces for interior doors, and 100 m² for wall panels. Whole-house projects are quoted per project. Trial orders below MOQ are possible for established partners.

How does a whole-house custom project work?

It starts with your floor plans and finishes schedule. We issue a whole-house shop-drawing package and itemized quotation within 10 working days, produce pre-production samples or a mock-up room for approval, then manufacture with photo and video progress updates. Total time from inquiry to shipment is typically 60–90 days depending on scope.

What is your sample policy?

Finish sample boxes (boards, veneers, lacquers, hardware) are free for serious projects. Production samples are billed at cost — refunded or credited against the corresponding bulk order. Sample lead time is 7–15 days after specification confirmation.

What are your production lead times?

Standard lead times run 25–40 days for wall panels and doors, 30–45 days for kitchen cabinets and wardrobes, and 40–60 days for whole-house project phases, counted from deposit receipt and drawing sign-off. Peak season can add one week.

Which payment terms do you accept?

Standard terms are T/T 30% deposit with order, 70% before shipment against bill of lading copy. Irrevocable letters of credit at sight are accepted for larger orders. We never require 100% upfront payment from new buyers.

Can I audit or visit your factory?

Yes — we encourage it. We host buyer visits at our Shanghai facility on working days, and we run live video tours for buyers who cannot travel. Third-party inspection companies (SGS, TÜV, Intertek, or QIMA) can also audit us or inspect your order before shipment.

Which shipping terms do you offer: FOB, CIF, or DDP?

All three. FOB Shanghai or Shenzhen suits buyers with their own forwarder. CIF covers ocean freight to your port. DDP delivers to your door or project site with customs handled — popular for hotel FF&E projects because it removes hand-off risk between freight and installation schedules.

What warranty do you provide?

Cabinetry, wardrobes, panels and doors carry a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects; hardware mechanisms carry 2–5 years depending on brand. Claims are handled within 48 hours of receiving issue photos — with spare parts, replacement, or credit, per the order terms.

Can you use custom materials — our fabrics, veneers, or hardware?

Yes. OEM is core to our business. We work with buyer-supplied materials (COM/COL fabrics, specified veneers, branded hardware) and can source certified alternatives — FSC timber, CARB-compliant boards, BS 5852 or CAL 117 fire-rated foam and fabric — with lab reports from accredited laboratories.

Which certifications does your factory hold?

Shanghai Jiushu Whole-House Custom Furniture Co., Ltd. is an ISO 9001 (quality), ISO 14001 (environment), and ISO 45001 (occupational safety) certified manufacturer, founded in 2018 with 12 granted patents and exports to 30+ markets. Certificates and patent numbers are verifiable on request.
